Kelman Tinto

Kelman is a wine that celebrates the tradition of the Dão region. A wine designed for everyday enjoyment, it offers both tradition and versatility.

Castes:

Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Alfrocheiro and Jaen — giving it fruity character and structure.

Aged for 12 months in used French oak barrels.

Tasting notes:

Color: Intense and brilliant ruby.

Aroma: Intense aromas of ripe red fruits, such as wild blackberries, with floral notes, spices, and subtle hints of minerals.

Palate: Medium to full-bodied, with good tannic structure and balanced acidity. It presents a mineral character, providing freshness, volume and a harmonious finish.

Harmonization:

Ideal to accompany grilled meats, game dishes (such as venison or wild boar), aged cheeses, dishes with mild spices, or roasted vegetables with bell peppers.

Kelman Wines was born in 2013 when Juliana Kelman returned to the Dão region to turn her passion for wine into reality. Located in Nelas, the brand produces elegant and authentic wines, highlighting the Encruzado grape variety and respecting the local terroir, with national and international recognition.
