Cebolal Orange 2023
Cebolal Orange 2023
Herdade do Cebolal Orange 2023 - In ancient times, Phoenicians preserved wine by keeping grapes in contact with their skins for a few days, thereby giving it an orange or amber color.
Recently, they returned to their roots and revitalized this ancestral process to develop natural wines, without "makeup," that increasingly express the region better.
Grape Varieties:
Boal & Semillon
The grapes were harvested in mid-August, dictated by climatic conditions and grape ripeness. The grapes were selected and hand-picked. The must remained in contact with the skins for 6-7 weeks to preserve a golden color, its freshness, and minerality. After skin contact, the wine was pressed and kept in stainless steel tanks for 6 to 10 months in contact with fine and gross lees. During this period, as we use low doses of sulfur dioxide/sulfite, the malolactic fermentation of the wine occurs naturally.
